"Am absolutely loving this book, keep putting it down, but only because I don’t want to finish it." -- Amazon Reader
Theresa Grant fled Aveline ten years ago, certain that she would never return. She was wrong.
When Theresa's teenage daughter, Maddie, pleads with her to come back to Aveline, Theresa can't say no. She finds herself packing up and driving back to the lake town of her childhood—back to the lake, the trees, and to an old friend who wants to rekindle their spark.
Will a new house, new friends, and her work as a potter be enough to keep her in Aveline? Or will old secrets drive her away?
Note from the author: I have always loved romance, and I think love stories are so beautiful. I also love the picture of the small town as a kind of landscape for community. I wanted to write something that reflected the kinds of people I have known all my life. So that is why I wrote about Aveline, a small town that is like the life I have known, with quirky, real, lovable characters who come from many backgrounds and ways of life. Community, brokenness, kindness, and the love of God in action. Isn’t it amazing, how vulnerable we all are? And then we offer food and friendship in the context of houses and cafés and forests… we extend our hands to one another and become family.

"I was hooked from the first page. The characters are very supportive and care for each other and their community. I'm a fan." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reader Review

I found this author on Kindle. This is the second in a series. The First one- Lost Art of Reverie was really good. I couldn't put it down and this one was the same. The characters are real and flawed. Full of faith and friendships, trails and trouble. I have just finished book 2 with tears running down my face. It has been a while since a book ,a story has touched me deeply. I'm away to start the third one now.
God makes all things beautiful if we let him in. Characters overcame many obstacles and learned to love again beautifully.
Another clean and suspenseful romance from which I gained some useful information. I love the abundance of descriptive details, especially of the clothing.
Real people, realistic faith. Human strength and frailty. We all like good endings too, with good winning over evil. A book of hope and understanding that addresses many levels.
This story grabbed me from the first page. Rachel Ford’s characters feel so real, and close. She draws you into the story, the internal voice of each character and their struggles and joys. Beautifully paced, it had me hanging on to the very end. I couldn’t put this one down. Also an insightful gem for anyone who has ever loved an autistic person.
